Noo [pronounced New, born August 22, 1988] is a hip hop artist out of the Washington D.C. Area. Noo is locally known as one of the best people to work with in the city and is now getting recognized in the DMV (D.C., Maryland and Virginia) area as a huge hip-hop mogul. “Noo is lyrically Rakim with a D.C. dimeanor, A rap style like no other and swagg out of this world”. Rollo Williams. Soul World Ent. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ In the day and time where the phrases “HIP HOP IS DEAD” tends to linger off the lips of many huge hip hop moguls and exects, Noo tends to challenge that judgement and say not only “HIP HOP AINT DEAD” but that “HIP-HOP AINT DEAD IT LIVES AND D.C.” quoted by local rap artist Eezy Money, Noo believe its time for the majors to come here and see the talent in the city. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Noo, Born Wayne Brian Barnes Jr., to Brenda C. Rouse and Wayne Barnes Sr,. in Washington D.C. at George Washington Hospital on August 22, 1988 at 11:04 a.m. exactly. Noo grew up on the 1300 Block of 5th street in North West Washington, D.C. Since the tender age of two Noo has been around music. When kids where just learning how to walk and talk Noo already knew words to many of the classic hip-hop songs such as “Kriss Kross - Jump”, Rakim’s “Make Em Clap” and other hot classics just to name a few. Noo graduated from Dunbar Senior High School in June of 2006 where he played Football and Basketball his 10th and 11th grade years. After graduationg from high school went on to attend Shaw University in Raliegh, North Carolina where he first began his rap career with his childhood friend and fellow group memeber Arnell “Young Pawn” Diggz, together they are the hip-hop dynamic duo by the name of “Too Kool” also in Shaw TV Magazine as “The Modern Day Kid n Play”. Kevin Parkinson. Vinark J. Productions. Before rap became a major issue to Noo, he takled other entertaiment careers such as Standup and Improv Comedy, Acting, and Fashion show host in the D.C. area.

This track is far from new, but it’s been held back from everywhere except local shows and his MySpace.
Check out the spin on Wale’s original version of the track, focusing on the neglect of the DMV hip-hop scene and local struggles.
